What is Chelation ? Chelation Ability has been overlooked for a long period of time. What does it really mean? Chelation ability indicates how well a person can ‘cope’ with charged metal ions which tend to ‘stick’ to the body and accumulate in tissues until they may reach ‘toxic’ levels. Ionic metals (and here especially iron) will increase the over production of free radicals a million-fold. A paragraph from the book , The Chelation Phenomenon: A Natural Biochemical Process, © Leon Chaitow N.D., D.O., M.R.O., Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Therapeutic Bodywork; Senior lecturer, University of Westminster, London, reads.............. Not one of us can survive without the chelation taking place throughout your body at all times. Not one of us can survive without the chelation taking place throughout your body at all times. Digestion and assimilation of foods, because your body uses protein substances (amino acids) to chelate with minerals for transportation to their destinations, or in which blood cells latch on to, and thus acquire, iron. Indeed, haemoglobin is a chelate of iron (as is the enzyme catalase, which your body uses to ‘switch off’ the free radical activity of hydrogen peroxide). When you eat meat or green vegetables which contain iron, after the digestive process has released the iron from the food in which it is bound, it has to be combined (chelated) with amino acids (protein fractions) so that it can be carried through the intestinal mucous membranes into the bloodstream. Here is a simple statement: If we cannot chelate metals (such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron etc.), we cannot utilise these ‘essential metals’. If we cannot chelate ionic metals, we also cannot get rid of ‘toxic’ metals, such as lead, cadmium, mercury etc. The only ‘cure’ the medical profession has for ‘lead poisoning’ – is some form of chelation therapy – often EDTA chelation. ABOUT CH-77 for Chelation
As people grow older their ability to chelate ionic metals is reduced. Elderly people may not suffer from a calcium deficiency (osteoporosis), as generally believed, but rather from an inability to chelate the calcium present in order to make it available to the body. Ionic calcium is a burden to a body – chelated calcium can be either used purposefully or else eliminated. Ionic iron can kill you, chelated iron is essential for your survival.
